Time to Summer Pop! - ACCESSORIES

Time for accessories everyone. However, I'm not going to highlight lots today since I didn't see many interesting ones.

1. Oliver Peoples - J Gold sunglasses: The oval-frame is a style essential. The red colour is hot and sexy. I recommend to wear a cute black dress with this pair.

Time to Summer Pop! - BAGS

Now it's time for bags.

1. Pierre Hardy - Color-block backpack: This is the first one drags my attention. You can put all your beloved items into the backpack. The contrasting colours makes this backpack an instant outfit updater. Note: It is a bit heavier, 4.9 lbs / 2.2 kg, due to the material.

Time to Summer Pop! - SHOES

I got a "50% Sale" email this week from my beloved Net-A-Porter. So, I decided to pick several items that I think worth to invest.

I always like to start my sale hunting with shoes:

1. Tory Burch - Dara woven pumps: I love the ethnical patterns and the colour choice of this pair. Definitely lighten up your day time look. Pair them with jeans or a silver skirt (I just bought one today :p)

Black: the solve-all solution

Black + White: This combination has been trendy forever. It is the No.1 choice for brands like Chanel. The beauty of this mix is that it adds simplicity and sophistication at the same time.

Yoga & Fashion

Yoga is defined as the physical, mental and spiritual practices or disciplines, originated in ancient India with a view to attain a state of permanent peace. Historians traced back thousands years ago to a place in Indus Valley, where ancient Indians displayed yoga poses on several seals. In the 1980s, yoga became popular across the Western world. However, its vogue-like fashionability is a recent and booming phenomenon.

Stores, like Lululemon, introduce series of yoga products every year. Based on a recent study, 30 million North Americans practice yoga, and the yoga products market is $27 billion each year.

Lululemon is know for its black stretch Astro pant. People commend it as brilliantly designed, able to fit and able to flatter the legs perfectly. Last year, Vancouver was ranked as the third worst-dressed cities in the world due to Lululemon pants.  After all, yoga pants are not a substitute for work clothes.

I’ve been practicing yoga since the age of 15 and I have never spent money on “professional” yoga clothing. I primarily  choose my yoga gear on the basis of being loose and practical. Yoga attire certainly doesn't have to be expensive and branded.

Fabric: I prefer cotton and linen for yoga clothes. These materials are light and can breath during exercises

Price: No need to spend your hard-earned money at an expensive retailer. A comfy t-shirt will do.

Design: Everyone knows their body best, and every woman wants to look great in the mirror during yoga practice. Choose a style of clothing that you find comfortable and doesn't over expose. Dark colours also work well as opposed to lighter fabrics that may run the risk of having sweat stains left behind.

Harmony or Contrast?

Root

Years ago, mum showed me the book she'd been reading, dark cover, dreadful, called "Roots" (has a poetic Chinese name). :)

Being in Canada by myself, my beloved family is far away on the other side of Pacific Ocean. Strangely, after 5-year of independent life in Canada, I miss them more and more every single day.

Since I was born, thank you for being there for me all the time.
