Good news - Disney is reuniting the characters from Frozen in a short film, Frozen Fever, which will be about Anna’s birthday party. The voices haven’t been confirmed to the media yet. Let’s look forward together for the release in Spring of 2015.

Happy 25th Birthday, Lulu Guinness

Lulu Guinness was founded in 1989 by Lucinda Jane Guinness when she was 29. To intentionally push the boundaries, Lulu introduced the rose basket bags to the fashion industry. Currently, the Florist Basket is in the permanent fashion collection at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.

“Dare to Be Different” is the motto for Lulu. She wants the women who wear Lulu Guinness to do just like that. Her iconic red lipstick look is present at all the time which extends to her popular lip and lipstick clutches.

 

Thus, for the 25th anniversary collection, we can see the iconic lip and lipstick clutches. Besides, we can also find a silver glitter Polaroid camera, collaborating with Impossible, as an unforgettable memory from youth.

When I'm writing this, I actually found a video posted recently on YouTube by Lulu Guinness, showing how to print Polaroid photos from an iPhone. It's on my shopping list now.

Beach Ready!

It seems late for me to post something beach related. However, I’m going to the Mediterranean at the end of October. It will be my first time traveling by cruise with Oceania. The trip will start with a night at Funky Gourmet at Athens, Greece (Michelin 2 stars) and end with Provence.

Of course I will pack lots and lots of swimsuits. 

For one-piece, I will consider to reveal the waist this year as cut-out is trendy. Instead of doing the actual cut-out, this crossover will contour the body figure better. Or you can pick one with prints to distract unwanted attentions away.

For bikinis, which are my favorite as a petite person, I’m planning to do high-rise briefs this year for a retro look. White bikini is perfect for the deep Mediterranean ocean and that's what I have left on my bikini list. 

Hello, Hello Kitty!

My obsession with Hello Kitty started when I was a little baby. Even I’m a working adult now, I visit sanrio website ofter to check the new collections and fight again the urge buying anything.

Hello Kitty was designed by Yoko Shimizu in 1974 as a female white Japanese bobtail cat with a cute red bow. By now, Hello Kitty is earning billions every year effortlessly. 

Sanrio is celebrating Hello Kitty’s 40th birthday in LA later this year. Also, the some of the 40th Anniversary items are available to purchase online.

There are era canvas totes designed for the 40th birthday. These totes include the images of hello kitty in each era

Inspired looks from a Disney princess - Elsa I

Queen Elsa of Arendelle or The Snow Queen is well accepted among the audience due to her complex characterization and vulnerability. Elsa is loosely based on The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen. Born with the ability of controlling ice and snow, Elsa struggles and eventually becomes a strong, powerful and extraordinary woman (finally without helps from a Prince).

If you pay attention, Elsa is perfect in every aspect. She’s always buttoned up. Her hair is up. Every posture is graceful and elegant. The scene in which Elsa sings “Let It Go”, everything transforms from her hair, her outfit and even the way she walks. You are definitely looking for a more restrictive and confining look for the Queen Elsa, or a sexy and vampy look for The Snow Queen. 

FIFA World Cup 2014 - France

After all the Asian teams went home after Group Stage, the remaining African forces got demolished by France and Germany on the third day of Round 16. The aftermaths news titled - “African bravery, European victory” while highlights “Both the Super Eagles and Les Fenneces showed plenty of courage and skill...”  

Inspired by Nimes, a lovely town in Provence and the origin of denim, the Nike team presents us the contradiction of the be-wild denim and the silky fabric. 

If you look closer, the home shirt has the denim stripes while the white collar shows the elegance. The pride rooster standing below the one star of 1998 at the heart position as the national flag is on the inside collar. The away shirt is like for a Rivera vocation. Inspired from the French sailor uniform, the light grey stripes are simple and graceful. These two tops are on my shopping list.

Red, white and blue are the colors for France team’s fans with blue taking the larger fraction of the entire look. I think play with your denim pieces to match the “Nimes” theme of 2014.
