2015 is the Year of Ram according to Chinese Zodiac. With the Wood element, 2015 is expected to be peace loving and smooth. With all the chaoses happening in 2014, let’s hope everything will eventually find its equilibrium in the new year.

Beloved Oscar Dresses

Another Oscar night is approaching. Are you ready for the red carpet glamours?

The Academy Awards or The Oscars is one of the most well-known awards in the film industry. Since 1929, people from more than 200 countries have been trending this oldest entertainment awards ceremony. 

The red carpet is my favourite part of the ceremony as I gaze fabulous dresses making their own statements. By scanning through almost 90 dresses wore by the Best Actresses, some of these dresses are simply stunning even for nowadays!

Red Lips in 2015

Lipstick is the No. 1 item in every woman’s purse.

When I was young, I would often sneak into the master bedroom, carefully pull open the first drawer of my mother’s dresser and twist her lipstick tubes one by one to see the pretty colours. At that time, It was not acceptable for teenage girls wearing lipstick in China.

After the first lipstick was introduced in 1915 by Maurice Levy, ladies started to enjoy their ever-changing lip colours since. Dark red was one of the most popular shades throughout. 

Lipstick was worn around the lips to form a "Cupid's bow," inspired by actress Clara Bow in 1920s. 

By the 1950s, movie actresses Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor helped bring back dark red lips.

2014游记：意大利 － 陶尔米纳

2014游记：土耳其－艾菲索斯 / Ephesus, Turkey

土耳其，一个横跨欧亚两大洲的国家，孕育着世代乌古斯突厥的后裔－土库曼人。像一个披着神秘面纱的少女，拥有了东西方的文化精髓，也具备自生独到的年华。当看到游轮行程中的Ephesus时，不仅一怔，穿梭时光隧道，终于可以和圣经中的以弗所、东方庞贝之称的罗马古城相遇了。

艾菲索斯是古希腊人在小亚细亚建立的一个大城市，圣母玛利亚终老其身于此，位于加斯他河注入爱琴海的河口。艾菲索斯的历史可以追溯到西元前10世纪。以克雷契耶路、大理石路阿鲁加迪安路为中心，从海岸到山腰散布着各式各样的遗迹。靠近港口的地方有浴场和运动场，沿着大理石路有图书馆、妓馆、神殿和帝之泉的遗迹散布着，在山麓还有阿耳忒弥斯神庙。

Jane Birkin

Today is the English fashionista, Jane Mallory Birkin’s 68th birthday. You may not recognize this name, but I bet you know the high-end Hermès Brikin bag, which was designed for her. 

Jane’s career kicked off in the Swinging London scene of the 1960s by appearing in Blowup (1965) and Wonderwall (1968) briefly.
