The 86th Oscar wrapped up tonight at the Hollywood & Highland Center, California. Congratulations to all the nominees and winners! You will get it next time, Leo. What are the “yes” and “no” dresses for me?
Angelina Jolie in Elie Saab. She looks stunning and sexy as always, especially when she was on stage. A wavy hairstyle would be better.
Cate Blanchett in Armani Prive Couture. A very luxurious, soft-toned, but complicated and over-embellished dress. The seashell earrings from Gucci are a burden for this look. Maybe she should search for a new stylist. Still, congratulations!
Charlize Theron in Christian Dior Couture. A simple yet dramatic gown. The deep V-neck fits Theron perfectly, however, not a big fan about the plastic straps. The Harry Winston jewels look stunning on her.
Sandra Bullock in Alexander McQueen. Cate should learn from this classic Best Actress nominee look. An elegant navy gown with Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
Lupita Nyong’o in Prada. My favorite of the night. The light-blue silk gown defines Lupita’s skin tone perfectly on the red carpet. If you zoom closer, some crytal beads on the edges of the pleats to add glams.
Jennifer Laurence in Dior Couture with no doubts. Hope you won’t trip or fall next year. Despite the fact that she needs to pick a gown a bit shorter next time, the red strapless gown defines her graces. Love the way she was wearing the necklace.
Anne Hathaway in Gucci. Edgy and modern. I was attracted to her as soon as she showed up (firstly in the background). The halter neck, crystal details and slim cutting... I have to admit, black always look great on the red carpet.
Amy Adams in Gucci Premiere. I almost forgot that she’s a mum already. She looks breath-taking. Plus the beautiful Tiffany earrings.
Emma Watson in Vera Wang. She looks great. I still can’t convince myself if she’s the in right age group for this kind of looks.
Jessica Biel in Chanel Couture. The shimmery yet soft gown with embellished blush staged her look to glamourous and quality.
Jennifer Garner in Oscar de la Renta. A 1920’s-inspired look. A “no” for me after seeing her movements with all the beads swinging.
Lady Gaga in Atelier Versace Couture. Too bad that she didn’t get much attentions tonight. I should point out her customized Brian Atwood platforms.
Julia Roberts in Givenchy Couture. The lace shows off the feminine yet sexy side of her. The earrings from Bulgari is a nice touch.
Meryl Streep in Lanvin. With 18 nominations, Meryl sure knows how to do her red carpet look for Oscar. Lanvin is a perfect choice to show elegance and grace. I love how simple her hair and makeup look tonight.
Kate Hudson in Atelier Versace. Everyone was probably nodding when Kate Hudson showed up on the red carpet. WOW, that’s how you should dress for Oscar and make a powerful statement.
