お花見 (o Hanami) means flowering viewing in Japanese, which people gather and have picnics under a blooming 桜 (Sakura / cherry blossom) tree or 梅 (Ume) tree.
How should girls dress up for お花見? With the blossoms being so beautiful, you still want to attract some attentions and also you should match your outfit with the blooming background as well.
Option 2
If you are sitting on the ground, then please don’t wear short skirts or the skirts with wide spreads. They are inconvenient and may knock down some cups (LOL~).
Maxi skirt with a tight line is a great option: convenient, cozy and feminine. You can go for stretch-jersey, knits, cotton, linen and etc. Make sure to wear thick tights to keep yourself warm if the temperature is low.
For a casual appearance, a denim shirt or a sweatshirt will be perfect. Due to the materials, they give people a sharp and clean look.
Wear a chic biker or bomber jacket since spring can be chill sometimes.
Since the jacket is edge, you can wear a scarf with floral patterns to balance it. It’s also great to use floral design in flower viewing
You may want to style your hair since you will be outdoor. You don’t want to be bothered with the wind during the viewing. A hat is also a great option. (love the neon pompom~)
Tips:
- the maxi skirt gives a gown-up look
- stains can be easily removed on denim materials
- wear tights to keep yourself warm against the low temperature
- do your hair to avoid the wind later messing it up
If the temperature is low, then you can wear heat / steaming patches like I usually do. Or you can bring the heating packs. The ones shown below is the steaming patch from KAO and Sanyo eneloop heater.
