Inspired looks from a Disney princess - Aurora

Princess Aurora appeared on screen in Disney’s 1959 animated film Sleeping Beauty, based on Charles Perrault’s “The Beauty sleeping in the Wood” (1697). She is the 3rd member of the Disney Princess line after Snow White and Cinderella.

Her sunshine gold hair , rosy red lips, violet eyes and fair complexion define her great beauty. She is usually seen in a pink ball gown with a petal overskirt and long triangular sleeves. Aurora also wears a gold tiara and choker.

Rose is a key point for Sleeping Beauty. After pricked her finger on Maleficent’s spinning wheel, Aurora fell asleep peacefully, waiting for Prince Phillip to rescue her. The fairies put the whole kingdom to sleep while roses grow everywhere as protection.

Clover Canyon - bikini
A white bikini set with floral details. Wear a wide sunhat and get ready to kiss the California sunshine. The soft floral prints remind me Aurora’s charming character.

Oscar de la Renta - Pleated skil-faille gown
A simple pink gown with unseen details: the specifically calculated cuts and crisp silk-faille make this an astounding piece. Pair with glamours and golden-tone jewelry for the night. This Dolce & Gabbana headband will suit hair worn up or down.

Miu Miu - Ruffled dress
The hot coral color matches Aurora’s feminine features. Nothing can fit a princess better than satin and ruffles. You can go for a sophisticated look with this dress. I recommend light colored footwear like this Italian hand-made Gianvito Rossi lavender leather pumps.

Donna Karan - Draped jersey top & Current/Elliott Stiletto cropped mid-rise skinny jeans
The neon arrow design from this multicolored Stiletto jeans pop into my eyes. Aurora is a 16-year-old teen girl. I select this look to portray her playful and fun side. As the bottom is the main focus, go easy on the top part.

Lanvin - One-shoulder satin top & Alberta Ferretti - Lace-insert maxi skirt
I love the taupe douchesse-satin. Very graceful and elegant for a princess. The cut of Ferretti’s maxi skirt is slightly flared. So the hem will float while you are walking. The lace inserts can reveal a hint of skin.

Acne - two-tone wool blazer & Isabel Marant - Lace top & Oscar de la Renta - High-rise shorts
Lilac and blush match really well on this wool blazer. The lightly padded shoulders is still in trend for an direct urban style. Wear this cream lace top inside and light up the whole look with the neon pink shorts. The lace balances the boyish sense from the Acne blazer.

McQ - Sweatshirt
It’s embroidered with mirrored rose motifs.

No. 21 - Rose-print pencil skirt
It’s a really cool crepe skirt. The photo of real roses has a 3-D effect.

Givenchy - Floral-print leather pumps

Anna-Karin Karlsson - Rose sunglasses
